Before Power Outage

Yesterday we had snow changing to sleet. This morning is more sleety rain and will change back to more snow. Too much ice on the trees means there is a chance the trees will come down on power lines. Now, in our neighborhood, the power lines are underground. The power lines coming TO the neighborhood are not underground. Yes, I do have candles, a camp stove and loads of sweat pants!
The road crew only plowed and salted the Little Dead End Street once. I tried to keep up with shoveling and salting. The Old Man did make it home and left this morning. I asked if he wanted an overnight bag, but he declined.
Darn this weather! I had planned to use these few vacation days to go to the Cincinnati Library.
