We have a crab apple tree on the corner of the lot. The Old Man has been trimming the tree so that it does not hang over the sidewalk (thank you "Landscape Police" for the complaint). Ever since he has been trimming the tree, it produces more and more crab apples. The branches are so full this year that they are almost touching the ground.
What to do with so many crab apples you ask?? The Old Man looked on line "How to make your own wine."
Yep! Now he wants to make wine!
So, out to the tree he goes to collect crab apples. He shakes the tree and picks up the crab apples out of the grass. I suggested the blanket on the grass and pour them into containers. That worked, sort of. Got lots of leaves that had to be picked out.
Guess we have to repeat the process of collecting the crab apples until he thinks he has enough.
Now, he doesn't want to purchase any equipment, so I am not sure what kitchen appliances (of mine) he wants to use in making the wine.
Do you think he wants to use my collection of empty wine bottles???
He does not drink wine! Christmas gifts??
Project or hobby????

What about jam?? Either way, sounds like a project to me. Let me know how the wine turns out.
