Sshhhh! It's a Secret!!

It's suppose to be a secret, but nothing is ever a secret IF you know the right people.

Every year the BIG church evaluates the pastors and the churches. A pastor can stay at a church for one year or up to 7 years. Our church has a Committee that also evaluates the pastor and if the pastor is meeting the needs of our church. (( I am not on this committee, as I am not diplomatic and didn't grow up in this church. That is my excuse and I'm sticking to it!)
SO>>> The Big church let the Committee know that our current pastor needed to move on (even though we like him), as he had entered into the ministry late in life. Like in the corporate world, he needs to move up the ladder. The Big church asked the Committee what they wanted in a new pastor. Their answer was "YOUNG," to connect with our young adults (20-30).

How wonderful the Committee didn't limit the gender!! Oh!! Yes!! We are to get a WOMAN!!!

The fall out will be interesting! The OLD guys have already started to complain (they don't believe that a WOMAN should be a pastor!) !!!!

We hear she has just graduated from school and her husband is also a pastor. Also over heard, the District person said if anyone gives her a hard time, HE WILL be sitting in the pews.

This move will take place in June. Looks like I will be working Good-bye and Welcome dinners!

Oh this is going to be FUN!!!
