The Pastor gave a wonderful sermon on Sunday. It was about loving each other, forgiving and letting go (of trespasses).
Seeing that this comes after Thursday's meeting, I figure the sermon was pointed to that committee (including me). But watching the reactions of other folks, and a phone call with Almost Dorothy, seems it was pointed to a lot of us. Guess we really need to be hit by a 2x4.
Getting the Old Man into looking at "Cash for clunkers." Problem: only one vehicle would fit the description, and that is the newest car to the fleet. As he see it: do the rebates really cover the sales taxes, fees, property taxes, interest (since we would have to take out a loan on a NEW car), and full coverage of a NEW car. In other words: does it make real sense to do go with this program? Of course having a NEW car, there should not be repairs for a while and gas mileage should be better than the 16.6 we get on the highway.
There is something wrong with all my calculators! There was a commercial for some study for women in age between 35 and 53. I figured that I should fit in there. Just checked the calculator and it said something different!
