Sometimes you just have to spend money. First there was Christmas, then Valentine's Day, then the refrigerator went out (Happy Mother's Day) which opened the door to purchase a new dishwasher (next on the list to replace and Happy Father's Day).
Then the cat (Hairy) needed to see the vet for an abscess , and the dog needed to see the vet for shots (this expense reimbursed, thank goodness)
So today purchased new eye glasses (last ones were purchased in 2002). If I keep these for 6 years, the cost will be $ 4.86 per month. Did the Eye Glass Math, thank you calculator!!
Also today was a visit to the vet for shots for Hairy (but forgot the pills for Little White Kitty, darn!) At least they gave me a discount on the office visit!!
Trying to save for next month when we travel the Family Reunion in Montana. Those expenses will be gas, room rent, extra activities and let us not forget the beer & wine!

Speaking of beer and wine. While in Montana, you should look for Huckleberry and Honey beer by Lang Creek Brewery. It's made in Montana and I think you will really like it. Very sweet, but not too sweet!
