Have you ever noticed how many lights and bells go off during the day?
Bells start off our morning with the alarm clock. Perhaps you have the bell plus a flashing going on, and if you are like me I hit the 9 more minutes delay. Then the coffee maker has to let me know when it has completed it's job. (As if I wait for it's completion) Along with the coffee brewer making a ding, it has a red light that comes on. I don't mind the red light, but does it really go with the greenish refrigerator light and the blue stove light ? Now the stove also has red light to let me know something is hot, and dings when the oven is up to temperature or time is up. (Also the newer microwave will have a greenish light, when installed)
Then the TV has a red light and a ding when turned on. The coffee cup hot plate has an orange light, the gas fireplace has both a green light and red.
Moving to the office we have: The small heater with an orange light, computer wires to the printer are red, telephone has red, printer has blue, speakers has green, turtle heater has green, power stripe has green lights. Bells: The speakers can make dinging noises when messages come in and of course the phone rings when someone calls.
Now we have a cell phone that has lights and rings, but since it is in it's little holder, deep deep inside the purse, we don't always hear it.
Since the stink bug got inside one of the smoke detectors, it bings at odd times, mostly at nap time or bed time. It to has a green light.
The new tablet has dings and bells that we are just getting use to, mostly we just ask "what was that??"
The cats may not have lights... but they make sounds throughout the day and night. At 3 A.M., I wish they had an off button.
