Fixing versus buying

For others that do not know, there are several different kinds of math used at this house. For example, there is travel math (flying versus driving), furniture math (building versus buying), radio math (fixing versus buying) and appliance math.

So, we have fixed the cloths washer (but it still needs some adjustment) and purchased a stove. Reason: He can't see the washer (but likes clean cloths) but can see the stove on a daily basis.

Over the weekend, the beer temperature was 58 degrees. This is not acceptable! So after research on the net for problem solving, many man hours, three coolers full of food on ice and one research trip to the appliance store, the Old Man called home this morning to say "Go buy a new refrigerator and Happy Mother's Day."
